Fabric Selections
We offer access to a wide range of trade-only performance, upholstery and outdoor fabrics, with discounts available on select lines such as Revolution and Folio fabrics. While we do not stock fabrics in-house, most can be sampled at little to no cost, and shipping times are often very quick, depending on the brand.
In-store, we carry a small collection of samples from Folio, Stout, and Revolution, along with solid fabric options ideal for slipcovers.

Slipcover Fabric Recommendations
Charlotte Fabrics canvas and denim is our go-to recommendation for anyone looking to make a durable and long-lasting slipcover. Below we’ve highlighted our favorite fabrics from their selection that are the best for slipcovers.
Essentials Washed Cotton - 100% cotton canvas in a variety of solids, offering a casual, relaxed feel. Ideal for slipcovers requiring regular washing.
Canvas Denim & Twill - this is a twill weave fabric so it’s got a diagonal directionality that adds a little more texture to the fabric. Their white denim is our second most popular option for slipcovers.
Slipworks tip:
Even though some of the fabrics say they are preshrunk, we still recommend that you preshrink the fabric in hot water and dry it on high heat prior to bringing it to us for sewing. This reduces the amount of shrinkage you’ll experience in the future, which can cause fit issues down the line.
We can preshrink it for you for a fee.
